Welcome Fellow Mortal!

I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.

My deepest hope is that my work helps you become intimate with death and all her gifts and most of all widens your eyes to the miracle of your own existence,

Who is the Queen of Death?

The Queen of Death is not a person, and she is definitely not me.

She is the life–death–life cycle itself—the generative and dissolving intelligence that animates all. She is the force that brings worlds into being and the same force that destroys them. Creation and destruction are not opposites in her domain; they are but phases of the entire ecstatic process of becoming.

Across cultures she has been called by many names—Shakti, Kundalini, Inanna, Isis, the Dark Mother, the Great Goddess, and countless others. But she is older than any mythology. She is universal, natural, and ecological law, and her teaching is that nothing is permanent.

She exists in the wave form—rising and falling, contracting and expanding, the inbreath and the outbreath—and wields the principle that all form eventually yields back to formlessness.

She invites us to release our attachments. She seduces us toward surrender—toward maturity, toward humility, toward right relationship with impermanence. And if we refuse, she will annihilates us anyway.

To serve her is not to romanticize death, but to take a deep bow at her feet, knowing she is fully in charge. To serve her is to apprentice to an intimacy with Truth, with Trust, and with Saying Yes to ALL OF IT.

Who is Lee Warren?

Lee Warren helps people fall in love with existence through preparing for death.

She is a death and tantra educator, somatic guide, writer, mystic, and community builder. She is also the author of Dying Together: The Art of Community Deathcare, due out in Fall of 2026.

Lee’s work lies at the intersection of death and Tantra, which encourages us to use the vehicle of our bodies to explore the blueprint of our own divinity. As we deepen into this inner marriage—the union of spirit and matter—we discover the blend of both the practical and quantum mysteries that allows us to dwell in the awe of our near-impossible existence.

Her rich and varied life experiences—from three decades of ecovillage living, leadership in the sustainable agriculture world, and her devotional Tantric path—have primed her for guiding the inquiry into the generative life/death/life mysteries. For more than a decade, she has offered courses on end-of-life preparation, grief rituals, and community-based living—all woven in and around the teachings of sacred embodiment.

Her goal is to empower people to transform the fear of mortality into intimacy with themselves and the generous moment.

All of Lee’s work is embedded in the potent wisdom of community. She believes that humanity is on a path to “return to the village.” The village is a metaphor for the collaborative, inclusive, and earth-reverent systems that help us create supportive, coherent, and integrated ways to live and to die.
